My work lives at the intersection of capacity, culture, rhythm, systems, and collective care.

For more than two decades, I have worked across child welfare, education, nonprofit leadership, training, facilitation, and community-based systems change. I have seen what happens when people are deeply committed but chronically overloaded. I have also seen what becomes possible when a room has enough safety, rhythm, structure, and truth to let people think clearly again.

That is the center of my work.

I help teams, communities, and cultural spaces create the conditions for clarity, connection, and movement.

One question, many rooms.

I am the founder of Bloom, Don't Shrink and the creator of The Capacity Pause, Parties as Portals, Straight Through, and The Listening Table.

These projects may look different on the surface, but they are all asking a related question:

What conditions help people regulate, remember, reconnect, and move forward?

The Capacity Pause translates that question into organizational life.

Parties as Portals studies that question through Black music-centered gathering.

Straight Through holds that question through deep listening.

The Listening Table explores that question through story, memory, and public listening.

My DJ practice as SistaRhythm explores that question through sound, sequencing, transition, and the body.

Systems and bodies. Strategy and care.

My background includes leadership and training work in child welfare, education, youth development, nonprofit strategy, trauma-responsive practice, equity-centered facilitation, and adult learning.

I have served as a trainer, strategist, facilitator, mentor, executive leader, public speaker, DJ, and cultural worker.

I bring together professional expertise, lived experience, cultural memory, and embodied practice.

I do not separate systems from bodies.

I do not separate strategy from care.

I do not separate clarity from capacity.

Grounded in a few core beliefs.

Capacity is an equity condition.

The body knows before the mind explains.

Joy is infrastructure.

Rhythm is our resilience.

The room is part of the method.

People do not need to be taught to regulate. They need a space that does not interrupt it.

That is the work.

Whether I am facilitating a leadership reset, writing a field note, holding a listening room, teaching a workshop, or DJing a set, I am paying attention to the same thing:

What is the room carrying?

What does the body already know?

What conditions are needed now?

What wants to move?

What needs to be named before clarity can return?

Let's work together.

If you are interested in working together, inviting me into a room, or exploring a collaboration, I would love to hear more.
